Re: javax.persistence.PersistenceException: [PersistenceUnit: COMTransactions] Unable to build EntityManagerFactory Sachin Dhingra Oct 15, 2013 1:05 AM (in response to Scott Marlow) I tried spy option but it is not logging those messages No Identifier Specified For Entity Jpa He also pointed the same thing (XML) –Jaydeep Patel Sep 20 '10 at 6:17 I actually got frustrated from your answer. Its necesary delete hibernate.cfg.xml.
JPA is just an API.
I would maybe try calling your Hibernate code from a JSP or a Servlet and see if you get the same "Unable to configure EntityManagerFactory" error. To use JPA, you need an implementation of this API and such implementations are called persistence providers (EcliseLink, Hibernate, OpenJPA). That orm.xml is auto generated. Caused By: Org.hibernate.annotationexception: No Identifier Specified For Entity: I cannot be the only one with this error message? It might also be worth mentioning that the tutorial I followed is here: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flex/articles/flex_hibernate_04.html Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2.

But UPLD_PRGS_RPT is my primary and not secondary table. For that I found that Hibernate expect the table name in the @Column attribute ONLY for the attributes mapped to the secondary table When I say manually I mean have it consume a special persistence.xml file?
