konklone commented Mar 23, 2015 @epitron The Sinatra team has explained what they're up to earlier in the thread: #721. The fix normalizes the value with body = Array(exception_string), which is why pointing the Gemfile at the github repo works. You can see I even put the json gem in Gemfile unnecessarily.
